Buy a New 6-Yard Front-Load Dumpster

Highest-volume commercial · grocery + restaurant chains · industrial sites

from $4,100 CAD
new, hot-dip galvanized
6-yard front-load dumpster dimensions — 71.5 × 66 × 64 in, high-volume commercial fleet

The largest front-load we build — for businesses that fill a bin fast.

A 6-yard front-load dumpster is the right purchase for high-volume sites: a large restaurant, a grocery or food-court tenant, a hotel, or a multi-building property where a smaller bin overflows before the truck comes back. At 66 inches deep and 64 inches tall it holds six cubic yards — roughly sixty kitchen-size bags — yet keeps the same 71.5-inch front-load width as our smaller bins, so it still backs into a standard enclosure and lifts on standard hauler forks.

Buying the 6-yard instead of running two 4-yards has a real operational payoff: one collection stop instead of two, one enclosure footprint instead of two, and fewer overflow days between pickups. Because it carries the most weight of the front-load line, the build matters most here — the heavier the routine load, the more the galvanized body, reinforced floor, and gusseted corners earn their cost over a fifteen-year service life.

Built for the heaviest routine loads

The 6-yard ships hot-dip galvanized — dipped in molten zinc after welding so the coating protects the inside of every seam, the first place a high-use bin corrodes. A powder-coat finish over the galvanizing is available for fleet colours. Carrying the most weight in the line, this unit runs eight-inch swivel casters rather than six, a reinforced floor pan, and gusseted corners, with a sloped drain plug so liquid never pools against the steel. On a bin emptied this often, that drain is what keeps the floor sound after years of wet kitchen and produce waste.

Even at this capacity the lids stay manageable: impact-grade plastic on gas struts that a single staff member can lift, split so you open only the half you’re loading. The fork pockets hold the standard North-American front-load spacing, so any commercial hauler in your city can service it and you keep the freedom to switch collection contracts without changing the bin.

Is the 6-yard right, or is it too much?

Choose the 6-yard when a 4-yard would need servicing more than twice a week, or when one property generates enough waste that consolidating into a single large bin beats running several smaller ones. Busy kitchens, grocers, hotels, and large multi-tenant buildings are the usual buyers. The math is usually about pickups: if consolidating two weekly 4-yard collections into one 6-yard stop lowers your hauler invoice, the larger bin pays for itself inside a couple of years.

If your weekly volume doesn’t quite justify it, the 4-yard is the more economical purchase and the most common commercial size; for a small or low-traffic tenant, the 2-yard is plenty. And if what you actually have is a one-time pile of renovation or demolition debris — not recurring waste — a rented 10-to-40-yard roll-off is the tool, not a front-load you own.

Owning the 6-yard: warranty, branding, delivery

Every new 6-yard comes with a five-year structural warranty and a fifteen-to-eighteen-year design life under normal commercial use. Order it in a custom fleet colour with your logo or unit number screen-printed on the side — standard practice for property managers and franchise operators tracking bins across sites. Delivery is Canada-wide, usually six to eight weeks for a new build and sooner for stock.

Pricing opens at $4,100 CAD, set finally by finish, branding, and delivery distance. An online quote gives the exact figure for your address, and we verify the fork spacing against your regional hauler before the unit leaves the yard.
